Looking for a comforting and warming meal? This is my Gigi’s Famous Pot Roast. It’s a true family favorite that I know you’re going to love.
Is there anything better on a cold winter day than having a comforting pot roast dinner? Growing up, my grandmother and my mom would make this dish all the time. It was so flavorful. The secret to my grandma’s recipe is two things: one, she puts garlic cloves inside the meat, and two, the seasoning is a package of onion soup mix. Can we talk FLAVOR?!
Ingredients
- grass-fed chuck roast
- a packet of organic onion soup mix
- carrots
- potatoes
- green beans
- onions
- beef broth
- salt and pepper
- bay leaf
- garlic
- garlic powder

Cooking Methods
There are two ways I like to cook this dish. You can do it in a large pot and then roast it in the oven at 275 for 4 hours OR you can start by searing it all in a pot then add it all into a crockpot and cooking on low for 4 hours.
