I love a great simple salad made with minimal ingredients. This one uses less than 8 ingredients and is absolutely refreshing. It pairs well with anything heavy or fried. Sometimes, I’ll make this salad ahead of time and store it in the fridge to make it nice and cold. Then serve it right when we’re ready to eat it.
Here’s What You Need
- Cucumbers
- Radishes
- Cilantro
- Ponzu sauce (gluten-free if needed)
- black sesame seeds
- white sesame seeds
- lime juice
- sesame oil

Asian Cucumber Radish Salad
Ingredients
- 2-3 Persian cucmbers thinly sliced
- 3 radishes thinly sliced
- 1 tbsp gluten-free ponzu sauce
- 1 tbsp chopped cilantro
- 1 tsp lime juice
- 1/2 tsp black sesame seeds
- 1/2 tsp white sesame seeds
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- On a medium platter or plate, start with the cucumbers and arrange them in a circular motion until the platter is covered. Then add the radishes doing the same thing.
- Top with sesame oil, ponzu sauce, and lime juice.
- Then, add the cilantro, black and white sesame seeds, salt, and pepper.
