Cinnamon Carrot Oatmeal

Course: Breakfast

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups of Plain Cooking Oats I use Bob’s Redmill Organic Gluten Free Quick Cooking Oats
  • 4 cups of filtered water
  • 1 small loose carrot grated finely
  • ½ of banana
  • ½ tbsp of fresh ground almond butter or any nut butter of your choice
  • Dash of cinnamon just eyeball it based on how much you like. I do A LOT
  • Splash of unsweetened vanilla almond milk milk of your choice

Method
 

  1. Cook oatmeal as instructed on your instructions. If following my recipe, bring water to a bowl, then add the oatmeal, cinnamon, and grated carrots. Stir occasionally. It will cook fast so don’t leave the kitchen.
  2. Once all the water is soaked into the oatmeal turn off the heat.
  3. Divide what you want into each bowl. (Store the rest in a glass container in the fridge once cooled. You can always reheat more throughout the week which is what I do). Then add a splash of almond milk, a half of banana, and a small scoop of almond butter. Mash it all
  4. together and serve.
  5. Sometimes I add berries or raisins on top but I never add sugar or sweeteners because the bananas will sweeten it right up naturally.
