Cinnamon Carrot Oatmeal

Course Breakfast

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups of Plain Cooking Oats I use Bob’s Redmill Organic Gluten Free Quick Cooking Oats
  • 4 cups of filtered water
  • 1 small loose carrot grated finely
  • ½ of banana
  • ½ tbsp of fresh ground almond butter or any nut butter of your choice
  • Dash of cinnamon just eyeball it based on how much you like. I do A LOT
  • Splash of unsweetened vanilla almond milk milk of your choice

Instructions
 

  • Cook oatmeal as instructed on your instructions. If following my recipe, bring water to a bowl, then add the oatmeal, cinnamon, and grated carrots. Stir occasionally. It will cook fast so don’t leave the kitchen.
  • Once all the water is soaked into the oatmeal turn off the heat.
  • Divide what you want into each bowl. (Store the rest in a glass container in the fridge once cooled. You can always reheat more throughout the week which is what I do). Then add a splash of almond milk, a half of banana, and a small scoop of almond butter. Mash it all
  • together and serve.
  • Sometimes I add berries or raisins on top but I never add sugar or sweeteners because the bananas will sweeten it right up naturally.
