Restrictions are slowly being lifted but that doesn’t mean the virus has been eliminated nor a solution has been found. Most people are still taking the proper precaution at social distancing themselves but let’s face it…we need ideas of things to do with our time. Here are some ideas on what to do during social distancing. Hopefully, this helps the time spent with your loved ones a little more entertaining.

A lot of my recommendations are geared for us adults because let’s face it…we’re with our kids all day long and sometimes we need a little something for ourselves. But for obvious ideas listed below, you can definitely modify some to include your little ones. So, maybe I should have called this Social Distancing for Adults lol…much better.

What to do during Social Distancing

1. Play Games

Games have been something we recently started doing. My sister and her friend have been quarantining with us for a month now and lately on the weekends, games have been our thing. We’re talking card games like Spoons, Speed, Poker, and then some other games like Cards Against Humanity and and spelling/thinking game called Bananas.

2. Host your own wine tasting

wine tasting

We’re big into wines and were recently supposed to be in Napa a few weeks ago visiting family and celebrating my friends birthday. Welp, it got cancelled for obvious reasons, so we decided to host our own wine tasting. It could be you and your hubby or anyone who’s been self-quarantined. It was a lot fo fun to do. This was my favorite thing so far during quarantine time. We had a small group of self-quarantined friends do this with us and it was a blast.

3. Become a chef

For all my ladies who don’t cook but want to…this is the time to give it a try. Start with some basic recipes. But seriously, if you’re working from home and want to start learning how to cook, try and become your own chef and cook. Start by once a week with doing a salad and cooking a chicken then work your way up from there. You can do girl! Here are a few fool-proof recipe ideas…Oatmeal and Almond Butter Energy Bites, Baked Veggie Omelet Muffin

4. Bake

If there’s one thing I am doing lately, it’s baking with my sister a few days a week. It’s been so much fun trying new recipes and eating tasty treats. Of course, everything we’ve made has been gluten-free and vegan so I don’t feel as guilty eating them almost every single day. Make my Sea Salted Rose Chocolate Chip Cookies, Vegan Strawberry Rose Summer Tart, Shredded Chicken Tostada

5. Organize

I have been on an organizing kick lately. I know I’m not the only one. My drawers have been Marie Kondo and now I can find all my yoga pants, jeans, workout tops, all have an organized space. My pantry is clean and I’m a happy camper. Some items I recommend for organizing are: This, This, This, and This.

6. Start new TV Shows

I’ve been relaxing at night watching T.V. and it’s the BEST! My friend and I (don’t worry she’s quarantined everyday and doesn’t leave the house except to come to mine) have been re-watching Parenthood for the 4th time around. It’s hands down my favorite show. Here’s a list of other shows I have been enjoying:

  1. Parenthood
  2. All American
  3. Big Little Lies
  4. Little Fires Everywhere
  5. Schitts Creek
  6. Jane the Virgin
  7. Younger
  8. You
  9. Dexter
  10. Sons of Anarchy
  11. Dead to Me (Season 1 and 2)
  12. This is Us
  13. A Million Little Things
  14. Insecure
  15. Handmaid’s Tale

7. Workout

At-home workouts People! Seriously, this is so therapeutic and so good for your mental health. It could be anything you enjoy doing, but please take care of yourselves and get your body moving every single day. Taking care of yourself is the best thing you can do mentally and physically. even if it’s for 20 minutes each day. Go for walks and bike rides in nature (we do this each day with the kids), do a little yoga, spend some time outdoors. It’s a huge mood-shifter.

Favorite workout shorts under $50 HERE (I own them in white and black), Softest leggings on sale for $35 in color gray, shop HERE, Workout Top shop HERE.

8. Become a TikTok Star

This one has been so much fun that even my 5-year old wants in on the action. It’s a bit of a learning curve for sure (took me a few months to learn), but once you get it, it’s so much fun to do. It’s also addicting but very hilarious to watch. You can follow me on @precioustimeblog on TikTok.

9. Have a Spa Day at Home

Bathtub

When I’m not watching television after the boys go to bed, you can find me taking a nice warm bath, listening to a podcast, face masking, and doing the whole spa day at home. You can shop my favorite Spa Items such as Bath Caddy, Robe, Mask, Luxury Neck and Body Support

Enjoy!
