Spirulina Rose Matcha Lemonade

Sumer Sumer Sumer time! Oooh, such a great LLCOOLJ throwback song. With the temps at an ultimate high lately, I have been craving something refreshing to drink poolside and this Spirulina Rose Matcha Lemonade does just that.

Okay guys, I realize I have an obsession with this spirulina rose matcha concoction but I just can’t stop. The flavor combos marry well together that I want everything to taste like it. Side note: THIS is my absolute favorite matcha and highly recommend it.

Don’t worry though, if you don’t have spirulina, omit it. But if you’re wanting to add the extra bit of protein and antioxidants, I highly recommend adding that dash of spirulina powder. If you’re anemic this is also a great way to help add that extra boost of vitamins.

I like to start with a little bit of lemon and then after it’s all blended, if you feel like it needs more, definitely add more to your liking. But don’t omit the honey, you’re going to want a dash of sweetness. That’s what will balance the citrus from the lemon. If rose isn’t your jam, omit it and do a regular matcha lemonade. Play around with the flavors and find something you love and add it in.

Spirulina Rose Matcha Lemonade

Spirulina Rose Matcha Lemonade

A refreshing drink packed with antioxidants and protein.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 1/4 cup filtered water
  • 1 tsp matcha powder
  • 1/2 tsp spirulina powder
  • 1/4 piece lemon juice
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 1 tsp rose water

Instructions
 

  • Add all ingredients into a blender and blend for about 20 seconds. Start with a small piece of lemon (1/4 piece) and add more if you need it.
  • Pour over ice and enjoy!
