Gift Guide for kids

Gift Guide: For Kids! Nothing brings me more joy than seeing the happiness on my kid’s faces Christmas morning as they opened their gifts. You really relive your childhood through the eyes of your own child and it’s so amazing. Even just the month leading up to Christmas is so exciting to me. We get our Elf out to make sure the kids know they are being watched by Santa’s friend, bake cookies to leave for Santa Christmas morning, and all the many festivities leading up to the big day is exciting.

Shopping for kids is my favorite and sometimes, I’ll admit, I can go little nuts because I am just as excited as they are. Here is an exciting gift guide for kids ages 3-5 years. You’ll find so many ideas that are both fun and educational.

Gift Guide: For Kids

  1. Nintendo: My son has been really into video games these days and will play Mario Kart on occasion with my hubby. This year, he is begging for this Nintendo Light Switch. This may be his big present from us this year.
  2. Karaoke Machine: who doesn’t love to sing and a karaoke machine just seems like so much fun. I enjoyed using this when I was much younger and think this will be perfect for your little ones.
  3. Mercedez Ride-On: We got Cristiano one of these when he was 2 years old and loves it. But let’s be honest, now, these boys fight over who will be driving. We actually just bought one of these for Niko this year. I know, I bought this early on but guess what??? IT’s on major sale for under $200. I had to jump on it.
  4. Modern Studio in a Box: This is a great gift for any little artist in your life. My oldest is very into crafts and art and this comes with everything.
  5. Sleeping Bag: Before you roll your eyes on the price, just remember, they always have a good sale happening. I bought a cheap one for my oldest a few years ago and it’s great, but its obviously cheaply made and falls apart easily. The boys love to have “sleepovers’ in our room on the weekend and sleeping bags is just sooo exciting for them. Buy one sleeping bag once, and watch it last. It’s plush and keeps them warm. I bought a Toy Story for my youngest and Avengers for my oldest this year…on sale of course.
  6. Marble Genius Marble Run Set: Cristiano received this for his 5th birthday, and any of his friend’s girl or boy, that come over, love this toy. Gets them thinking and releasing creativity. Plus, it’s a lot of fun to build and play with.
  7. Balance Bike: Perfect for kids ages 2-3 years. A balance bike will get your kiddo ready for the big boy bike in the next couple of years without needing training wheels. I did not have one with my oldest but getting one for Niko for his 3rd birthday to see if it helps.
  8. Alphabet Matching Popsicle Set: Now that the boys are home 2 days a week with me, I want to get this one for my youngest to help teach him his upper and lower case letters. Great for mamas who want more educational gift ideas.
  9. Mini Muffin Counting Match Up: Another great learning/educational gift idea for your little ones. I am very big on getting toys that also help them learn. Plus, it also teaches fine motor skills as well.
  10. Art Easel: My boys got an easel a couple of years ago and they love it. Paint, use chalk, markers, crayons, etc… This is such a great gift for any gender and age.
  11. Trampoline: We bought this for the boys last year and they LOVE it. All the kids we have over gravitate towards the trampoline when they play outside. It’s small enough for a 2-year-old but big enough for your 7-year-old. Love that it’s fenced in so no one falls out.
  12. Stem Drill Set: My kids played with this toy for such a long time when I took them to an indoor play gym. So much fun because they feel like they are actually building something and using power tools without injuring themselves.
  13. Osmo Genius Starter Kit: I just bought this for Cristiano who is 5 years old. He’s been very into games on the iPad and I would much rather he be on the iPad playing educational games. Ages for this is recommended for 6-10+. Games are designed for beginner to expert levels. OSMO enables the continuation of learning. You can even track game progress, using child game profiles, on a parent app.
What they’ll learn is Shapes & placing in designs (Tangram), problem-solving/early physics, creative drawing skills, counting with numbers/dice, letters, spelling & vocabulary.

Other Gift Ideas:

Tickets to Disney On Ice, Basketball, Soccer, or Baseball Game

Osmo Little Genius Starter Kit: Just like the Osmo learning kit mentioned above, this one is for younger kids ages 3-5 years. I am debating on getting this for him for Christmas or his birthday which is in January. But love that these activities are educational and ideal for at home, restaurants, or traveling.
