Equipment

  • large stockpot ones used for soups

Ingredients
  

  • filtered water
  • 3/4 cup Jamaica dried hibiscus
  • 3 tamarindo hard outer layer peeled
  • 4 oz pilonchilo: raw sugar cane. It's shaped as a cone and comes in 8oz. Cut it in half.
  • 4 frozen sugar cane sticks or cana
  • 5 guavas left whole
  • 1 orange sliced
  • 2 red apples sliced
  • 6 tejocotes: a small yellow fruit that resembles crabapples, left whole
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar

Instructions
 

  • Fill the pot up with filtered water about 3/4 of the way full.
  • Next, add in the remaining ingredients and simmer on low for about an hour.
  • Serve hot and enjoy. No need to strain fruit or hibiscus.
