Are you team coffee or team matcha? For me personally, I am always in the mood for a matcha latte. It’s my drink of choice. Now don’t get me wrong, I love a good cappuccino and we even have a cappuccino machine…But, this Iced Spirulina Rose Matcha Latte is so incredibly healthy and flavorful.
If you’ve been following along on Instagram (@Precioustimeblog), then you know I make this every single day. I prefer it iced when I make it at home even if it’s 15 degrees outside. There is something so refreshing about it. You can definitely make it hot if you prefer, but at home…it’s Ice Ice Baby LOL…It’s only when I’m at a restaurant, that I prefer to drink it hot. I have no idea why that is but it is.
So what makes my matcha latte so different from what you’d find on Pinterest? I include some healthy antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals from a small scoop of spirulina powder.
What is Spirulina?
Spirulina is a nutrient-packed organism that grows in either fresh or saltwater. It provides as much protein as an egg and is loaded with a ton of antioxidants and essential amino acids. Studies have shown that it reduces the risk of allergies, high blood pressure, cancer, anemia, and can even improve gut health, boost energy, and your mood. Sign me up! I’ve been including Spirulina in my matchas, energy bites, and smoothies.

Matcha Benefits?
Matcha has so many healing benefits. It helps promote periodontal health by reducing inflammation, preventing bone resorption, and limiting the growth of certain bacteria associated with periodontal diseases.
Other health benefits include detoxifying effectively and naturally all while being packed with antioxidants. It’s also anti-aging, supports the immune system, and prevents cardiovascular diseases. Matcha also prevents liver disease, diabetes, Alzheimer’s, arthritis, cold & flu, lower stress, and cancer.
Side note: THIS is my absolute favorite matcha and highly recommend it.
This recipe is shared on my stories every day and each time I post a picture, I get questions for a recipe. I can’t believe I didn’t have this on the blog yet. But better late than ever am I right? Here is my deliciously easy Iced Spirulina Rose Matcha Latte.
Enjoy!
