I often get asked about kids’ products and what we use on our little ones. I love that you all value my opinion are curious about what we use. So I thought since I get so many questions about kid products (my favorite kind of topics), I thought it would be fun to create a blog post for you to refer to.

Healthy oral hygiene is so important because, without the proper care of your teeth, mouth, and gums, you’re putting yourself and little ones at risk with cavities, tooth decay, bad breath, as well as toxins and bacteria. Without proper care, that can lead to other illnesses such as oral cancer, Alzheimer’s, gingivitis, diabetes, and poor immune system. We also want to ensure that the products we do use on our children are safe, non-toxic and very effective. Here are the products we use.
Toothpaste
Dr. Brite Toothpaste: I love this one because its made without SLS, fluoride, and Phthalate free. It’s also made with a BPA free bottle and with real ingredients that are safe to swallow. This is our go-to and loved by my boys. who doesn’t love berry flavored everything? Use code: PRECIOUS10
Toms Toothpaste: we have used this in the past and it’s great but not the cleanest of the ones. It is, however, better than all the other ones you see at drugstores like Colgate and Crest though. It’s rated a 3 on the Think Dirty app which is still bordering the clean category. I prefer Dr. Brite if I am being totally honest.
Floss
Dr Tungs: I used to use the sticks all the time, which was great for the kids to use for their front teeth, but trying to pry their mouths open with a bulky stick to get the back of the teeth was complicated for us. I use this floss and so do my boys.
Tongue Scraper
Dr. Tungs: Like myself, I have my boys practice cleaning their tongues with a tongue scraper to pull off all the bacteria and toxins each day. My 2-year-old has trouble doing it on his own so I help him by having him stick his tongue out and I scrape 2-3 times (if I’m lucky). My four-year-old does a pretty good job with it.
Toothbrush
This brand is what we use for the boys and we love it. We switch them out every 2-3 months. Works amazing, anti-bacterial, softwood, soft bristles. We really love them. I also like that the bristles come in different natural colors so we can tell them apart.
Mouthwash
Dr Brite: This mouth wash is amazing. What drew me to this besides it being super clean and non-toxic is the fact that you can swallow it. Just spray it in the mouth and you are good to go about your day. My boys love it and the flavor is delicious. I won’t lie, I also use it. Use Code: PRECIOUS10
Hope you find this helpful!
XO,
Natalie
