I have a huge love relationship with shrimp tacos. Grilled, fried, it really doesn’t matter, I’ll eat it anyway made. These tasty tacos were a HUGE hit with my entire family so I’m very excited to share this recipe with you all.
Perfectly seasoned grilled shrimp, cilantro avocado crema, and a zesty tangy slaw give these tacos the perfect crunch. Let’s take a look at what you’ll need.
Make-Ahead
The zesty slaw can be made a day before and stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator. The avocado crema can be made in the morning and stored in the fridge until ready to eat.
Ingredients
- Peeled, deveined, tail-off shrimp
- Cumin
- Paprika
- Chili powder
- Onion powder
- Salt and pepper
- Avocado oil
- Corn tortillas or grain-free tortillas
- Radishes
- Cilantro
- Lime juice and zest
Zesty Slaw
- Cabbage
- Lime juice and zest
- Oregano
- Salt and pepper
- Olive oil
Cilantro Avocado Crema
- Plain coconut yogurt or any yogurt of choice
- 2 avocados
- Lime juice and zest
- Cilantro
- Olive oil
- Salt and pepper

Easy Shrimp Tacos With Zesty Lime Slaw
Ingredients
- SHRIMP
- 1½ lb peeled deveined, tail-off shrimp
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 lime zested
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 3 tbsp avocado oil
- 14 corn tortillas or grain-free tortillas
- Toppings: radishes cilantro, lime juice and zest
- ZESTY SLAW
- 1/2 head cabbage shredded
- 1.5 limes juiced and zest
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- CILANTRO AVOCADO CREMA
- 3 tbsp plain coconut yogurt or nay yogurt of choice
- 2 avocados
- 2 lime juiced
- 1 lime zested
- 1/4 cup cilantro
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 garlic clove
Instructions
- In a mini food processor, add all the crema ingredients together and blend. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, add all of the zesty slaw ingredients and toss. Set aside.
- Heat a large cast iron skillet on medium high heat. Pat the shrimp fry with a paper towel to remove any moisture. Season the shrimp on both sides with the salt, pepper, paprika, onion powder, chili powder, and cumin.
- Add the avocado oil in the skillet, and cook the shrimp for about 3 minutes per side. You may need to do it in batches depending on the size of your skillet.
- Meanwhile, heat each tortilla for a few minutes per side on a skillet.
- On each tortilla, add the slaw, then the shrimp, the avocado crema, cilantro, radishes, and lime juice.
