Figs and honey go hand-in-hand like peanut butter and jelly. The two just pair so nicely together. Plus it’s fig season, so I am going to soak in all the fresh figs I can get my hands on.
I wanted to create something not only gluten free, but also dairy free since I know a lot of people are cutting out dairy these days (including myself). ON occasion, I love to indulge in goat cheese since it’s my favorite and pairs so well with figs and honey. So if you want to change out the dairy free ricotta for the goat cheese, go for it. I tried it and it’s sooo good. Just follow the same steps below to make it a lemon goat cheese.
This toast is easy to whip up in minutes. When I make it, I usually will enjoy it for the whole week for breakfast or a midday snack. If you wanted to enjoy it as a snack, I recommend eating this all on a rice cracker. Very tasty if I do say so myself.
You can also serve it on a toasted plain waffle like I did below. So scrumptious.
As always, I love seeing all of your creations so be sure to tag me if you make this.
XO,
Natalie
