There is nothing simpler and more refreshing than homemade lemonade. It’s one of the easiest things to do and yet always felt lazy and intimidated to make it. Now that I have, I won’t be buying store-bought lemonade because this Blue Spirulina Lemonade is homemade and filled with ingredients I know.
Even if you don’t want to add things like Spirulina into your lemonade, this would still be so refreshing and delicious without it. I recently made a Spirulina Rose Matcha Lemonade and it was so incredibly good. But, when my sister came home with the blue spirulina powder, I couldn’t wait to add this vibrant color into a lemonade. So, that is how this recipe was created.
This lemonade is lightly sweetened with a touch of honey and balances the citrus of the lemon very well. Add it all in a blender and you’ll have a tasty refreshing lemonade within 30 seconds.
Spirulina Benefits?
Spirulina is a nutrient-packed organism that grows in either fresh or saltwater. It provides as much protein as an egg and is loaded with a ton of antioxidants and essential amino acids. Studies have shown that it reduces the risk of allergies, high blood pressure, cancer, anemia, and can even improve gut health, boost energy, and your mood.
Anyways…I tend to ramble a lot but I hope you enjoy and love this lemonade as much as my sister and I do.
When life gives you lemons, make this blue spirulina lemonade. You won’t regret it.
